About Me

- Location: Portland, OR, United States
Moonshadow is a 38' Alajuela sailboat built in 1976. After selling our house in 1998, Richard and I moved aboard. We left Portland, Oregon in 1999, sailing to British Columbia and then Mexico. We crossed the Pacific in 2002, ending up in New Zealand. From there we sailed to Fiji, Vanuatu and on to Brisbane, Australia. In 2005 we travelled up the coast inside the Great Barrier Reef and around to Darwin. Crossing the Timor Sea, we spent 3 months sailing in Indonesia. Having logged 22,000 miles, we ended the year at the southern tip of Malaysia.
